Tu Rinsche is an award-winning executive leader with over 20 years of experience designing and scaling high-impact sustainability and human rights programs across corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. A globally recognized strategist, she helps companies navigate evolving regulations, develop effective ESG and human rights strategies, and translate values into measurable results.
She has led the development of governance models, social compliance programs, and tech-enabled tools that drive business resilience and real-world impact. Known for solving complex, unstructured challenges, she has built end-to-end human rights due diligence (HRDD) programs for S&P 500 companies, manufacturers, and private enterprises.
She has also directed multi-million dollar investments to support frontline human rights organizations and social enterprises. With a background in the U.S. federal government, she bridges public policy and operational realities—helping clients meet regulatory requirements while delivering meaningful outcomes for people and planet.
Tu is the author of Do the Diligence, a weekly Substack newsletter offering practical guidance on HRDD for practitioners and business leaders.
She is a regular featured speaker at global forums and industry events, and has served as visiting faculty for several university and executive certificate programs focused on ESG, human rights, and responsible business.
Tu holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in International Affairs from The George Washington University and Columbia University, respectively.

SAMIRA RAFAELA // Principal Advisor, EU Public Policy and Regulatory Compliance
Samira Rafaela is a recognized trade and policy expert and the first Dutch Member of the European Parliament (MEP) of Afro-Caribbean descent. As an MEP from 2019 to 2024, she led major EU efforts on human rights and trade, earning recognition as one of the Parliament’s most influential voices during her mandate.
She served as lead negotiator for the EU Forced Labor Regulation and the EU Pay Transparency Directive, and as rapporteur for the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) in the Employment and Social Affairs Committee in the European Parliament. Samira also championed the EU’s first gender and trade chapter in a trade agreement as Rapporteur for the trade agreement with Chile.
She is currently a non-resident senior adviser with the Human Rights Initiative at the Center for Security and International Studies (CSIS) and a former non-resident visiting fellow at Cornell’s Global Labor Institute. She is also an alumni of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, where she participated in the Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network program in 2016.
Samira holds a Bachelor’s in Public Administration and Master’s in Crisis and Security Management from Leiden University in The Netherlands.

LAUREN DAMME // Principal Advisor, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning
Lauren Damme, Ph.D., is a leading global expert in the measurement and evaluation of human and labor rights, including child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking. With over 20 years of experience, she has led large-scale research and evaluation efforts across 30+ countries, advising governments, multilaterals, and international organizations on evidence-based strategies to protect vulnerable populations.
She previously led the U.S. Department of Labor’s international evaluation and survey research portfolios, and later served as Director of Research for the Chief Evaluation Office, overseeing more than 150 evaluations that supported $14B in federal programming. Her work received White House recognition for innovation in evaluation.
She serves as Senior Fellow at the Data Foundation, Visiting Fellow at the University of Nottingham Rights Lab, and adjunct professor at George Washington University, advising on AI, evaluation and evidence-building. Her forthcoming book on labor trafficking will be published by Springer in 2026.
Dr. Damme holds a Ph.D. in evaluation from George Washington University, an M.Sc. in international development from the London School of Economics, and a B.Sc. in business and survey research from Iowa State University.Follow her:
